In all root canal treatments and fillings performed at our clinic, we use "Rubber Dam" (Dental Insulating Covering) application as a standard procedure, which is one of the highest standards of modern dentistry.

What is a Rubber Dam (Dental Insulating Cover)?

A rubber dam is a special, flexible protective covering that completely separates the tooth or teeth being treated from the rest of the oral cavity. By ensuring only the tooth being worked on remains exposed, it isolates the treatment area from all other factors in the mouth.

What Does This Application Offer You? (Patient Benefits)

  • Maximum Safety: Completely eliminates the risk of sterile rinsing solutions used during treatment leaking into your mouth, getting stuck in your throat, or small instruments being swallowed.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will the procedure hurt? No. You will only feel slight pressure when the small rings (clips) used to secure the veneer to the tooth are placed. You will not feel any pain or discomfort because your tooth will already be numb.

I have a rubber allergy, can it still be used? Absolutely. At our clinic, we use hypoallergenic, allergen-free (non-latex) protective covers specifically manufactured for our patients with latex allergies. Simply inform your doctor of your condition before treatment.

Will it make it difficult to breathe? No. The drape only covers the inside of your mouth; your nose remains completely exposed. You can continue to breathe comfortably through your nose throughout the treatment.
